How to start faxing from HP OfficeJet 3830 All in One?

Hello everyone,

I am very new at this so please accept my apologies got any stupid questions I may ask in the process. I just started working from home after recovering from a monthlong batter with COVID-19 which was an ultimate nightmare.

so, I do need a fax machine at home to work. When I got the the HP Smart print all, it all seems East and straightforward but then it’s asking me to put my own fax number, which I don’t have. So my questions are:

1. How/where do I sign up for the fax number?

2 what’s the cost and is there a coniyaxy

3. Can I also receive faxes via HP Smart iOS app that I use?

The signup process is very confusing and it left me wondering is this service free or not? Can we accept incoming faxes or not? Where and how we get assigned the fax number for our HP All-In-One printer/copier/scanner/fax.

Hi DJ Rugewit,

The Mobile Fax feature only allows sending faxes, you don't have any number as fax receiving is not supported for this feature.

The Mobile Fax feature will have a fee in the future, currently, it is offered as a trial for a limited time.

You will not be asked to provide any payment information, as when any future plan will be released, payment options will only be introduced then and you would be given the option to approve any plan and provide the billing details accordingly.
