Is the printer coping fine?
Slow performance issue is only during faxing or for printing also?
Meanwhile:
Turn off Error Correction Mode setting
To turn change the ECM setting, open the fax menu, select Basic Fax Settings, Advanced Fax Settings, or Preferences, select Error Correction Mode, then select Off.
