I am having problem with my printer , I am able to print from printer but not scan

Please check below points in order to troubleshoot ..
1: Check if printer Driver is properly installed.
2: Is it on network or directly connected with your pc? or is it managed by print server ?
3: In point 2 all you have to check if proper drivers are installed.
4: if yes Go to control panel => devices and printer and right click on your printer and see if it's giving an option of scan
5: Try to deleted the installed printer and re-add
