Hello everybody,

I purchased this printer off the internet. Even though it's second hand, its printing perfectly. I am really happy with it.....

The only issue is that I can't seem to get the Automatich Document Feed working, no matter what I try.

@annick67,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Are you able to make a copy from ADF?
  • What is the exact issue you are facing with ADF?
  • Are you getting any error message?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

Look forward to hearing from you and you have a great day!

Take care.

Cheers!

Hello,

The printer doesnt recognise there is an ADF at all. No error messages, no nothing..... :-(((

I can print, scan, copy, but from the glass plate, so with scanning, page by page......very tiring if you scan a lot (like me).....

Yes, I performed every possible troubleshooting step before posting (like cleaning the feeding rolls etc.). Endlessly........ withou any result. Also watched YouTube, but couldn't get any result.

@annick67,

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

2. Remove USB cable, if present.

3. Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

4. Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

5. Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

If you continue facing the issue, I recommend you contact support as it may be a hardware issue.

Here is how you can get in touch with tech support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
