I have an HP Photo Envy 7855 printer.  I can scan to my email as an attachment but I've lost the capability to scan to the computer or as a pdf and it used to work. I get a message to download new software and why I try to, it says not applicable. How do I get back the capability to scan to a pdf (which no longer shows as an option) or to my computer? Thanks

For those reading:

Windows in "S" mode is a version of Windows that limits what can be installed to those applications found in the Windows 
Store.

 

I can offer the following advice...

 

Try / Consider

  • Remove (uninstall) the HP Smart Application from Settings > Apps > Apps and Features
  • Restart the computer and log in
  • Open the Windows Store > search / find / download-install the HP Smart for Windows application
