So it seems I made the mistake of buying another HP Printer.
After the disaster of an experience I had with an officejet a few years ago, I vowed to never buy another HP printer.
Like an idiot I went against that idea and bought a Envy 5055.
This is brand new, one day old.
IT WON'T SCAN!!!
I've updated all software, ran through the Print & scan doctor multiple times and rebooted my computer.
I took a screenshot of the error I'm getting. It goes all the way through the Scan Doctor, I even hear the scanner turning on and running some initialization, yet it still fails the Test Scan every single time.
Can anyone help? If not I'm boxing this thing up and taking it back ASAP!
It's ridiculous I can't do something as scan a friggin' document with a brand new printer/scanner in 2019!!!

Please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:
1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)
The following resource will help you :
Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.
3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
If you are not sure how to do this, the following resource will walk you through the steps:
How to Uninstall Download & Reinstall a Printer software
Else try this:
HP Scan Extended
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
