Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Scanner worked fine until a few weeks ago. Suddenly scanning software couldn't connect anymore and messaged 'Scanning unavailable at the moment' (Printing works just fine). Uninstalling software and re-installing didn't fix the problem. Scan Doctor stalls on checking Windows WIA Scan.

Anyone has a solution for this ?

Hi,

Please also try the following steps and check if that may help:

From the search bar type CMD, right-click on Command-Line and select Run as Administrator, be sure to confirm any prompt by pressing Yes.

Past the following command and press enter:

Sc config stisvc depend= rpcss/ShellHWDetection

Now restart your computer and try scanning, may you see any difference?

Welcome to HP support community.

Check Windows Image Acquisition settings

  1. In Windows, search for and open View local services.

  2. In the Services window, scroll down the list and find Windows Image Acquisition (WIA).

  3. Look at the Status and Startup Type values.

    • If the status is Started or Running and the Startup Type is Automatic, WIA is running correctly. Skip to the next step.

Making sure WIA Status is Running and Startup Type is Automatic

    • If the status is Disabled or no status displays, right-click Windows Image Acquisition (WIA), click Properties, click the General tab, select Automatic from the Startup type dropdown menu, and then click Start.

If the Start button is grayed out, go back to the Services menu, make sure Remote Procedure Call, Shell Hardware Detection, RPC Endpoint Mapper, and DCOM Server Process Launcher are running and set as Automatic, and then start WIA.

Windows services are all running and start is automatic, but still scanning software says 'Scan not available'.

I managed to configure the other way around (instead of working from pc to printer, I managed to scan on the printer and send it to my email). Can't get a scan from printer to a network map though, haven't succeeded in configuring a shared network drive that is recognized by the printer.

Perform root level uninstallation to remove all the printer related software's.

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.

Download and install printer full feature driver

I'm having the same problem. Scanner Won't scan (used to be no problem at all) and a couple of times the doc did go through the scanner but nothing came up on my computer. I have a mac. Please help! Thanks so much.

*I don't understand the answer (above) to correct the problem- but maybe it is only for windows computers.
