LaserJet Enterprise MFP M525f
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Toner cartridge was recently replaced. Printing to the device via Windows is fine. The fading only happens on one edge of the document when making copies, faxes or Emailing a PDF. Paper is fed landscape (wide edge first) and the front edge is the one that is faded. Approximately 1/2 inch in until the full normal darkness returns. This has happened on multiple devices. The entire scanner bed was replaced on one of the failing devices which appeared to resolve the problem temporarily but within less than 100 scans the problem returned.

If it only affects functions that use the scanner then there is either an issue with the scanner itself or control board for the scanner which on these small models is part of the formatter. Is the result the same from both the ADF and scanning off the glass?

The problem is the same on the ADF and Flatbed.  We will try a new formatter board. Thanks!

I am re-reading your original post and something caught my eye. You state you are scanning long edge first. What size is the document that you are scanning because you cannot scan letter size long edge first on this model and I wonder if you have the same problem when copying normal letter size. That you have multiple units doing the same thing suggests a media incompatibility rather than a fault with the machine itself.
