Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Which application are you using to scan?

Are you able to print and make copies in color?

 

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix Scanning'.

If the issue persists, proceed to the next step

 

Alternatively, install HP Smart app and try scanning

Click here to download and know more about HP Smart app

Thank you for your assistance. I have now resolved the problem that occurred following the last update of windows 10, it appears that the update reset my scanning settings to Grey and until I located the  HP Smart facility I was unable to reset the parameters. I don't think enough is done to highlight this facility.
