New HP Printer Scan to email issue

Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

Just finished hooking up NEW printer.  I can't seem to scan a document to email (or another location).  Can someone help me please, or I may have to return this printer - I scan a lot of documents to be emailed.  HELP

Windows in S mode is pretty restricted - you know by now that you can only use applications that you download from the Windows store.


That said, we must assume that you are using the HP Smart for Windows Application as your printer software.

The application does support scan to Email using an email address you have added to Windows Mail.

Open the software > Scan > set up the document / settings > "Share" the scan


If you can tell us what you are doing / trying / attempting,

Provide some details on what is happening - not happening - errors,

We might be able to help you sort the issue.
