Have tried New Firmware, HP smart, Reloading Hp Smart, New software, and reloading the driver.

 

Thinking about returning...Less than a week old

 

Any thoughts?

I would guess the printer is OK.

Great product - robust features and several nice options.

 

Edits - remove call-out for Expert assistance

 

An Attempt...

 

The reasons for "not scanning" on a new printer - laserjet or inkjet - and assuming the hardware is OK - are likely somewhat limited.

 

I would guess there is a discrepancy somewhere - perhaps in the destination for the scan.  For example, using Scan to computer is much different from Scan to Email - these are much different than Scan to Network Folder.

 

To help narrow the scope of the question, it might be helpful to know the type of scan operation.
