Hello all,

 

I have a HP Officejet 6500 E709a. My computer runs the Windows 10 Pro x64 operating system, and I have the latest software/drivers installed as downloaded from the HP website. When trying to scan through the HP Solution Center, I click the 'scan document' button that is in the software. After clicking, a small box pops up that says 'HP Scanning', but it only stays up for ~2 seconds before closing, after which nothing ever happens. It is supposed to pop up a settings window that allows me to set my scan settings and scan but, as I said, that never happens.

HP Scan Extended

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Hi sabretooth04,

 

Thank you for the help. I loaded that HP Scan Extended program on to the PC and now we are able to scan through it and everything is working well.
