Officejet 7612
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This printer was replaced under warranty earlier this year and has now developed another scanning fault after less than 1000 scans.

Each time I try to scan I get an error message the it is "unable to scan, copy or send fax". All printing works fine. I have followed all the guidance & used the HP Print and Scan doctor. Printer has been reset, software on two PCs uninstalled & reinstalled, cables replaced, etc. Everything seems to point to a software/firmware issue with the scanner. After all resets etc. the machine does one scan and the I get the error message.

Very frustrating for a printer that is 6 months old
