I was scanning a number of documents this morning and I found it odd that one of them (the longest one, at 23 pages) would not save as a PDF from the scanner, but all of the others are PDF'd just fine. Is there a page limit on how big a PDF can be? I've never experienced this before. And I'm using the exact same Smart Task for all of the documents: Scan from device to Dropbox. I can't find any settings or help that can explain why this would happen. Thanks in advance for any help.

I figured out what the issues was. My default DPI is set to 300. In order to get a 23-page document to save as a PDF, I had to lower the DPI setting. I tried 150 and then it worked as expected. I don't know if this is documented anywhere, but if you're having this issue, try reducing the image quality and it might work.

Hi @chris111111,

I'd like to help!

If you have enabled scan to text, OCR is not supported for existing PDF files in a Smart Task

Refer to HP Smart: Use Smart Tasks

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
