My printer is literally 3 months old if that - I usually scan to email (using aol email address - I know, I know but it works for me) - I have multiple HP printers due to business.  They all scan fine using same email address.  This says I have connected wirelessly to my network but it will not scan. It says Network connection error - I can find zero help from HP per usual and I do not have a computer hooked up to this thing.  Currently I am using my macbook laptop to use the IP address to review everything.  I am so frustrated.

Hi,

Please swipe down your finger from the top of the printer screen to launch the dashboard, then tap the gear (Setup) icon.

Click on Print Reports and then print and evaluate a Wireless Test Report.

Please evaluate the printed report - does it indicate any error or warning on its header?

Make sure you use the correct SMTP address of smtp.aol.com with port 465 and SSL Checked.

Create and use an App-Specific password, a standard AOL password will not likely be accepted by AOL's server for the printer:

https://help.aol.com/articles/Create-and-manage-app-password

If the test fails due to any connection error, from within the printer's homepage open the network tab and select IPv4 for the active connection type.

Set a manual DNS as following and apply the changes:

8.8.8.8 as the primary

8.8.4.4 as the secondary

Now test the email profile again and check for any difference.
