Printer works fine scanner soesn't

Microsoft Windows 10 in S Mode

Just purchased laptop and installed a Canon MG 2500 printer scanner. Printer works fine, scanner says its its unplugged or shut off. Used the HP support assistant which said I needed an app on a pop up screen which locks up and requires a reboot to clear.

I shut off the S mode with no luck. Any suggestions?  Thanks

I had the honor of going through your post and I see that this is an issue with the driver for your canon printer, and I suggest you either try removing the same and reinstall it, or simply contact canon support for further assistance.

Thanks for the idea, but Ive tried reload without luck. And Canons attitude is they no longer support the printer. I found another solution, i bought a wireless printer and it works fine!
