Officejet 5740
Chrome OS

I have an Officejet 5740. I added an email to the scanner, but left off a number when entering the address, meaning it's not my email address. This leaves me with no way to access the PIN, therefore no way to remove the incorrect email since I can't get into the email account.

I've read that the only way to get rid of the erroneous email is to remove web services. However, my eprint and ink accounts are connected to my web services, along with 4 separate devices. I don't want to have to go through the hassle of deleting everything just to get rid of one mistyped email address. Has HP devised any other way to get rid of a mistyped email on the scanner when one doesn't have a PIN? Thanks in advance.

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you want to change the email address on Officejet 5740 printer. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the Scan icon (), and then touch Email.
  2. On the control panel display, touch the account that you want to change, and then touch Modify.
  3. Select Store Email to modify and then follow the onscreen prompts.

Click here and follow the document for more assistance.

Let me know if that works.

Cheers.
