Resize printing error

HP Recommended
Officejet pro 6835
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

When trying to resize a copy to “fit page” it  errors saying “the selected resize can only be used when copying from the scanner glass.”

That’s where I always copy from... so I’m a bit confused.

@Christamonster, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Let us try restoring the copy defaults-

1. From the printer control panel display, touch Setup.

2. Touch Printer Maintenance.

3. Touch Restore.

4. Touch Restore Settings.

5. Select Copy Function to restore to original factory settings.

6. Touch Restore.

7. A message appears stating that the settings will be restored. Touch Yes.

Also, consider Updating the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates.

For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.

Try copying.

Hope this helps!
