I seem to be able to scan to my Chrome laptop successfully, as the scanned image, or at least part of it, appears in the 'window' within the Scan tab.  However, when I try to save the scanned image I get a message "Download unsuccessful.  Failed - There is a problem with server's certificate.

Hi @Pasto

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the scanning issue.

Let's try these steps -

1) Click on the exclamation icon next to the URL bar.
2) Click on the site settings.
3) Click on the setting 'automatic downloads' to allow.
4) Refresh the page and download the document.

You may also try to change the default location of "my downloads" folder or try another browser.

Refer to this document for more information - HP Printers - How to Scan (Chromebooks)

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
