Scan to Computer does not work 8035

HP 8035
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am unable to Scan to computer with this brand new printer. The only option in the HP Smart app under Scan to Computer is Webscan. That has been enabled, but has nothing to do with me scanning to the computer from a device. 

The printer says “no computer found”, tells me to install the printer software, and then gives some outdated instructions that don’t even apply to HP Smart. 

Any ideas?

Scan to Computer does not work 8035

Hi,

Follow HP Easy Start by selecting to install the Full Feature HP Software:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/HPEasyStart_10_5_4216_12.exe

 

Once completing the full software installation, front panel scanning will become available.

Scan to Computer does not work 8035

I have tried this and it doesn't help when trying to scan from the printer.  I can see the window on my desktop and I can click scan from there but the auto feed does not work.  I can only scan one page at a time.  Yes it says "scan from auto feed" in the scanning options and its says "document loaded" on the printer touchscreen.  Please advise.  This is the only reason I replaced my old all-in-one (because the auto feed broke).

Scan to Computer does not work 8035

When you click on Manage Scan to Computer from the HP software, can you see the feature enabled as expected?

 

Review the shown computer name at the top and be sure to select the EXACT name as listed in the HP Software, be sure not to select any similar name with any added word in front or after the computer name, a such represents Windows 10's WSD scan discovery, which does not support using the feeder.
