Scan to Email - need to PDF

HP Recommended
HP Envy 7858
macOS 10.13 High Sierra

I have used the scan to email feature a few times and it has worked perfectly.  All of a sudden when I select scan as a document, it is sending it as a .bin file which can't be opened on my phone or Mac.  Does anyone know how I get this changed to send me a PDF?  Thanks.

That is odd.  .bin isn't an option for that feature.

You can manage the Scan to Computer shortcuts in the HP Easy Scan app.

Open HP Easy Scan and then select Preferences under the HP Easy Scan menu.

Under Preferences select Scan to Computer.

Then select Email as PDF and Edit.

Here is where you can change the options for the Scan to Email settings.

Change that to PDF and select Save.

Selecting Show Details you can fine tune it even further.

If that does not fix the issue, it will probably be easiest to uninstall and reinstall the software.

Download Hp Easy Start from 123.hp.com and Select Uninstall HP Software... from the HP Easy Start menu.  Then re-open HP Easy Start and go through the install process again.
