Scan to Network Folder not working after update to Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra

I was reading some more and found that there was a  new update of FW and now it works fine again. At least for me.

Scan to Network Folder not working after update to Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra

I have no solution yet. My workaround for the meantime is to scan to a network folder on my NAS and then open them on the Mac.

Using the supplied/free HP Easy Scan app works, as does using a USB drive to transfer the scans to the Mac. Both work-arounds not solutions...

Scan to Network Folder not working after update to Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra

I would like to add that I'm experiencing the same issue, which started when I upgraded to Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.

I'm running a HP LaserJet Pro M277dw with the latest firmware.

Scan to Network Folder is broken, unless I scan at 75 dpi (which is so odd!)

I will be monitoring the forms in the hopes that a resolution can be found.

Same issue here. Tried 75dpi and still get same issue. Upgraded firmware last night and worked for one signle scan of the scanner lid but other than that, same error. Very odd. Come on HP!

Same issue.  IMac runing 10.13 + MFP M277dw.

(1) Can't scan to network folder thru' the printer touch screen LCD.  Keep on restarting the printer with error #79

(2) Can't connect to scanner when doing test at HP web control panel.  'Connection Failed' if no login and password were supplied.  Or kept on restarting the printer with error #79.

Everyting is fine when 10.12.

Scan to Network Folder not working after update to Mac OS 10.13 High Sierra

@marcol99

Welcome to the HP Forums. I would be happy to help you with your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw Printer. I understand that you are getting network scanner connection issue and you have already done some preliminary troubleshooting.

Don't worry though as I have a few steps to determine the issue and find a solution as well.

Restart devices and check driver scan settings.

Check the network and printer connection status.

Check third-party firewall software settings.

Remove and re-add the printer.

Uninstall the printer driver and software.

Reinstall the latest scan driver and software.

Reset the print system.

  1. Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, then click Reset printing system....

Figure : Resetting the print system

     Resetting the print system
  2. Click Reset in the confirmation window.

  3. Enter the Administrator name and password, then click OK.

  4. Wait for the printing system to reset. When complete, no printers should display in the list.

  5. Try installing the HP driver and software again, then add the printer to the Mac.

  6. Try to scan.

Click here and refer the document to perform the above steps.

Let me know if that helps.

Cheers.
