Scan to computer doesn't seem to work as it's supposed to.  if my PC goes into sleep mode due to inactivity it appears to mess with the scan to computer functionality.  other than telling my computer to never sleep is there anything that can be done to keep scan to computer working properly.

I tried to disable and reenable the scan to computer via the app but it didn't work. I managed to get scan to computer to work again by ending its task in task manager but that seems like an unnecessary action for the driver to work properly.  I've also heard from other forums that restarting the computer seems to fix the issue but again that seems like an unnecessary action for this to work.

@Dreadmyst To resolve your concern, you may follow the steps below:

  1. Search Windows for your printer model name, and click the printer name in the list of results. HP Printer Assistant opens.
  2. Click Scanner Actions, and then click Manage Scan to Computer.
  3. Click Enable to activate the scan to computer option.
