since roughly 4 weeks the scan to email function stopped working. (Previously my scan to folder stopped working as well, but I "solved this" by enabling an old and insecure protocol, which Microsoft currently disables out of security concerns, thank you HP).
First I tried to re-update the account data (as we are using google apps) I enabled the smtp relay service in my google admin console, to no avail.
So I thought I might do things "old-school" and reverted back to the smtp server of my ISP. Does not work either, although accès to the ISP SMTP does work from a simple mail client. It seems there is a real issue which could be the result of an update to the firmware. The current version of the firmware is not shown by the device (?!). Following related articles like this one: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05988396 resulted in no result.
