Scan to email error message .....Cannot resolve the SMTP server. Check the SMTP and DNS server settings with your system administrator or Internet Service Provider.

You need to ensure that the DNS settings on the printer are correct. Without proper DNS settings the system is not able to find the mail server. I usually recommend that unless you have known good DNS servers internally that you set the secondary DNS server to Google's server which is 8.8.8.8. These settings are located in the network setup screens of the embedded webserver of the printer. Also ensure that the gateway address is correct so that the printer can see connections outside of your internal network.

Are you using an IP address or the name for the SMTP server? Have you confirmed with your internet provider or mail provider that the name you are using is correct? I have run into some cases where the only resolution was to perform a factory reset and start over with the settings.

Hi, Thank you for your help. I'm using the name for the smtp server and it is correct. I will have to do the factory reset and start over . Do you know how I have to do that?

Thank you again.
