I set up WDS according to page 92 but it still doesn't work. Yes, the printer will already show me if I want to scan to Laptop xxxx, but if I give OK, nothing happens. I have a laptop with 10 Windows and I don't know if it's compatible?

@Tomáš77, Welcome to HP Support Community!

To be able to assist you better, I'd like to know the following-

Are you able to print from the computer?

Are you able to make photocopies on the printer?

Does scanning from the computer work?

If the answer is yes to all the above questions, follow the steps below-

Update the printer firmware

Download available firmware updates from the HP website

With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor and run the program. It will automatically diagnose and fix any printing/scanning issues.

For more information, go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/topic/printscandoctor

Ensure the scan to computer is enabled, here is how you do it-

  • Open the HP Printer Assistant. From the Start menu, click All Apps, click HP, and then select the printer name
  • Go to the Scan section.

  • Select Manage Scan to Computer.

  • Click Enable.

Try scanning.

Hope this helps!

Hello, I apologize for the delayed answer.
The firmware is up to date, I can print, copy, scan from my computer, but I still can't scan from the printer control panel to my computer.

I write using google translator.

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  2. Remove USB cable, if present.
  3. Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  4. Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  5. Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
