We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

HP8710 - I use Mac computer to print and scan. The printer works but the scanner I heard a noise and every time I tried scanning I get a message on the computer that printer is not detected. But, I am able to print wirelessly and also print via iPhone wirelessly. The problem is I can not scan documents. Please help

i have Mac’s and iPhone. I can print wirelessly but not scanner since I heard a noise like the scanner stopped about 3 days ago.

No I am not able to make photo copies.

Let's try a power reset on the printer

 

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Lift the lid up and try and make a copy, check if the scanner bar lights up, and if it moves
