Scanning and copying

Envy 5020
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

When scanning or copying I get the quality in the image attached. I get the same result whether I scan using the app or from my desktop. Also same issue if copying and printing the document. I’m sensing I may need a new device but wondering if there is a solution for this?

 

Printing quality is normal.

From the description and scan and copy test, it's likely that the scanner is defective.

If the product is still under warranty, contact HP for support.
