I have a chromebook laptop and I'm trying to scan a double sided paper using automatic feeder, but it will only scan from 1 side of the paper.  I have an hp 4630 printer/scanner/fax/copier.  I lost the cd that came with it to install, but my son helped my install the program by looking online.

The printer is operating as designed.

Top Key Features35-sheet ADF; Scan to PDF; Two-sided printing

 

Two-Sided Scanning is not so common as single-sided scan.

Not every printer supports 2-sided scanning as an option.

For example, top-of-line Officejet Pro printers might include 2-sided scanning (example, Officejet Pro 9025).
