HP OfficeJet Pro 9015
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have loaded several documents into the ADF and it scans each document correctly however it stops after scanning each document and asks if I wish to add another document followed by the request to click on the "scan" button.

I have a large number of documents to scan and would like it to run continuously without me having to instruct it to scan each document.  Whilst waiting for each document to finish I cannot be doing othe work.

How can I set the scanner to scan all documents in the ADF hopper?

Welcome to the HP support community.

Perform a power reset

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware

I hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply.

I solved this problem yesterday.  What had happened is that HP scanning software had been set up when I installed the printer however the software to run the specific scanner (i.e. the HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 series) had not been downloaded.  The scanner therefore only ran the ADF as a single sheet and each subsequent sheet had to be started by clicking the mouse.

I went back to the HP help for this printer and found the scanning software for the 9010 series.  Once downloaded it ran the ADF in full automatic mode.

I do not know why the correct scanning software was not installed at the time the printer was set up only that I needed to download it as a separate excercise some days later.

Currently I am not aware of any other software specific to the 9010 series that was not installwill automatically at the time of setting up the printer and which I need to be download from the HP website.  I would be obliged if you could let me know of any shortfalls.
