Scanning

macOS 10.15 Catalina

My scanner has stopped working.  It show it is connected and it prints but will not scan

@Margaret74, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

To be able to assist you better, I would like to know the following:

  • How is the printer connected to the computer?
  • Are you able to make photocopies on the printer?
  • Is there any antivirus software installed on your computer?
  • Have you tried using the Apple Image Capture to scan?
  • Is there any error message when you try to scan?

Refer to the document HP Printers - How to Scan (Mac)  for any help.
