Hallo,

I am trying to scan several pages at a resolution of 600 dpi with gray scale from the flatbed. The full pirnter/scanner sofrware allows me to choose a resolution of 600 dpi but the add page button is not working. Is there a reason why this is implemented like this? Am i missing something?

Hi,

Scanning in higher resolution than 300 dpi is a much more intensive operation, using many more resources.

Multiple pages can only be scanned with 300 dpi or lower by design, not with any higher resolution.

Shlomi

Hi Shlomi,

Thanks for the response. Confirms what I suspected. I won't look any further.

Still, if I still want to do this, can you suggest any other scanning programs where it is possible to do multiple scans into higher resolution pdf documents? The workaround is of course to do single scans and then merge documents together, but this is very time consuming.

On a philosophical note, why would my scanner software decide for me what is "too intensive"? I have the same hangup with the HP Smart software; this is even more limiting to the user.

Any way, thanks for the response.

Hi,

If I recall correctly, I believe that NAPS2 should allow a such.

You may install it from https://www.naps2.com and try it.

Hope that may help,

Shlomi
