HP M-1217

I have a HP M-1217 and it is stuck in Initializing, it will ring like a fax is coming through but nothing will print.  Please help.

I understand your printer is stuck at initialization.

 

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

 

Did you make any changes to your printer?

 

Try to perform restore defaults on your printer and check if it helps.

 

Restore Defaults:
Press Setup.
Press left or right arrow until Service appears on the second line of the display.
Press OK.
Press left or right arrow until Restore Defaults appears on the second line of the display.
Press OK. The printer will restart automatically.

 

If the issue still persists perform an NVRAM reset on your printer.

 

Since the steps to perform NVRAM reset is confidential I will send you the steps in a private message, please watch your inbox for more information.

 

If the issue still persists after performing an NVRAM reset on your printer, it is a hardware issue.
