Unable to scan at 2400 dpi in HP Deskjet 2516

HP Recommended
HP Deskjet 2516
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Whenever I try to scan a document at 2400 dpi and then press the SAVE button (1st scan)I get a error message saying the scan will exceed the maximum supported (approximately 2 gigabytes), and it does not allow the scan to complete (2nd scan/rescanning image with selected resolution). I have a lot of storage and pc ram is 8 GB
