We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I use the HP Laserjet m1212nf MFP as a copier and fax machine (it is not connected to a computer).

 

Some times it is not used for several days (it is however powered on at all times).

 

After a long time of no use, when I try to copy a document (from the glass) I press the copy button (twice - first time to bring the machine out of its sleep state). I can hear the scanner move, however no copy is subsequently produced. The display says 'Copying'. I wait a few minutes and nothing happens. i then power the machine off and on after that I am able to copy.

 

This started happening lately. Is there anything that I can do?

I understand that Very long (or infinite) delay before copying after a long time of no use.

 

Please perform the hard reset and check.

 

Turn the printer on, if it is not already on. 

 

Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue. 

 

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer. 

 

Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. 

 

Wait at least 60 seconds. 

 

Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet. 

 

Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer. 

 

Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on. 

 

Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed 

 

If the issue still persists, please update the firmware.
