Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello world, I used windows 7 for years and a week ago I upgraded our office, and networking to windows 10 ,64 bit . (  I now feel like a never used a computer before!) One of my major issues is scanning. I scan everything that hits my desk to our server. When on windows 7 I was able to use my printers scanner HP 476dw, its dialog box would pop up to choose the file type , I could hit scan, then save ,name it, and it went to the previous folder used. Now on windows 10 that dialog  box no longer comes up. I feel forced to use hp smart, and hp scan. Neither give the options I had in windows 7. This is really an issue in my work flow. In the hp 476dw I scanned batches, was able to rotate any pages with one click, then I would save and name it and it was saved to my file with the name and the added  automatic number 001, 002 ext: I would then go in and adjust the names by adding a job number, and other minor changes. this was a fast and easy way for me. I then used adobe acrobat pro to scan multiple pages to one file. This way I was not going back and forth changing settings single file or multiple files. I now have adobe acrobat dc ( with windows 10 the older acrobat was not working and I had to purchase the subscription ) I am ALSO  having a  problem with the acrobat DC scanning multiple pages automatically! Acrobat is calling me back tomorrow. So My question is this. 1. Can I get my old dialog box back for hp 476 ? 2. Is there a way to have more settings with the hp smart, and hp scan and capture. HP scan and capture does NOT let you rotate one page in a batch, it rotates the ENTIRE Batch, and does NOT let you name the files. This means I have to go in and change the entire name it is like entering everything twice. Once on quickbooks, and then in my file folder. Then with the HP smart, I can save multiple pages BUT I can not name it. example: job # parts date ext: I have 3 programs PLUS my printer on my system, and not one of them gives the options I need, and had in windows 7. Quickbooks ran scans and had no solution except crossing quick books off my list of possible reason, my computer tech had no solution. I spent 2 hours on the phone with adobe over the weekend where the uninstalled/reinstalled elements Photoshop, and acrobat. Another 2 hours today, plus I am now  waiting on Adobe acrobat specialist to call me back with the issues in Acrobats scan. I apologize for the long explanation. Unforgettably my issues are never cut and dry, and I felt more info may  lead to a more accurate resolve.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello again, I am typing my resolve in case someone comes across the same issue. After many hours on phone calls, installing's and uninstall's. I finally have it running properly. Besides the fact windows 10 likes to decide what you need and do not. It ended up being a corrupted Driver. Acrobat said I needed to contact the manufacturer HP to get the twain driver. ( that was on my system, yet I scanned in photoshop that uses the twain driver the beginning of the week with success. Add to that I was able to scan at points but never multiple files) Even though my printer is older, it is windows 10 compatible but my  warranty had expired. I called my computer tech, explained between acrobat answer, and that the computer is only recognizing  parts of the printer . ( when I click the printer Icon it wanted to install itself, yet when you go to print in a program it recognizes the printer. )  The solution was a corrupted twain driver. Computer tech originally did uninstall and reinstall before I posted. Nothing was working. After my last phone call, he had to rip out the twain drivers that were hiding, Installed printer without windows 10 deciding what to do, and FINALLY I have my dialog box back for my printer, where I Can change the settings to go with my work flow!  I can scan batches without a problem! Hope this helps someone who has been banging their head against the wall 🙂
