I set up a Smart Task to scan and save files to my Google Drive months ago. It worked fine as recently as yesterday. Suddenly today when I scan it saves documents as a Google Document file, not a PDF. I did not change any settings. I double checked the Smart Task settings in the HP Smart app (ios) and it is set to PDF under "Save As FileType." 

How do I fix this. Scanning to a DOC file is useless. Thanks.

This fixed itself a couple of weeks ago with no further intervention or troubleshooting on my end. Hope it is fixed for everyone else also.

I am having the same issue.  Worked fine before.  Went to start uploading my son's school work and the documents are uploading as Google Doc format instead of PDF.  After being uploaded, the documents are not viewable,  PLEASE FIX.

I am having the same issue. I set up a smart task, to save scanned documents in GDrive as a pdf document. But it is always saved as GDoc file. It did work before though. Please fix the issue.
