error code 335

I have an HP officejet 8600 Plus.  It as faxing fine and then it gave me an error code 335,  I re booted and updated software , still nothing.  Can anybody help.

This particular error code (335) is not on "your side" of the equation.

There are a couple of things to try:

You can try lowering the fax speed, for example, or turn off ECM (Error Correction Mode).

Hopefully, something will work.  There is much over which you have no control, of course.  The path to send the fax involves no only your machine, but also the long journey over the phone lines, the destination network, and receiving equipment.
