COVID-19: Community support for issues with your home office or remote working and learning
i don't remember setting up a PIN when i purchased the printer and installed it. I am trying to scan a doc to email and it is asking for a PIN. how do i set it up/change it?
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the scan to email pin.
To better assist you -
1.) Who is the Email Provider?
2.) Have you enabled 2 factor authentication for your email?
3.) Are you able to login to web-mail?
While you respond to that, I'd suggest you try re-configuring scan to email once again. Refer to page# 15 from the User Manual for steps.
