We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I didn't see any updates t this. Once I scan to email the attachment wont open, Its from a different HP address HP8.us  instead of HP.com

Can you open the email and download the content?

If yes, please do download and save the attachment.

 

Open File Explorer

Navigate to the folder in which the file is stored (likely Downloads)

Single right-click on the file

Open Properties

In tab General

For PDF:  Remove the existing name of the file and replace it with something that ends with a .PDF suffix

For JPEG:  Remove the existing name of the file and replace it with something that ends with a .JPG suffix

Click OK to save the change

 

For example, name the file "Test.PDF" OR "Test.JPG"

 

 

Does the PDF file open using Adobe Reader DC?

OR

Does the JPG file open using Windows Photos (or another photo viewing software)?

I had exactly the same problem. Was calling HP support today and the answer was, that HP doesn't support scanning  by via App "scan an email" . You have to download the HP printer software on your computer (if isn't installed yet) and starting the scan process on your computer. That works: you can chose printing/scanning the document as pdf or jpeg.
