HP office jet 4658 all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP office jet 4658 all in one

When I want to print a document and I click on Printer Properties, I shows this message:

Function address Qxa034008 caused a protection fault.

(exception code Qxe06d7363)

The application property sheet pages may not function properly.

I have HP laptop i5 with windows 10 updated , and just uninstalled my HP jet printer 2540 and installed new printer HP office jet 4658

I tried to uninstall my new printer then install it , but I still have the same problem

The printer works very good no issue, but I cannot login to the printer properties to do changes.

Any advice?

@jimroro

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community.

I reviewed the case regarding issues with the printer's properties. I will be delighted to assist you here.

Superb description, brilliant troubleshooting and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 😉

For better clarity and to assist you correctly, I would require more information regarding this:

Did you try any troubleshooting steps before contacting us?How long are you facing this issue?

For now please try these steps:

Root Level – printer driver reinstallation:

I recommend you delete the driver and root level and retry, follow the steps below:

In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’

6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Once done, follow this link https://hp.care/2B3MVQS do a quick search with the product number of the printer, select the right operating system, and install the full feature driver software. 🙂

This should do the trick for you. Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue.

The trick is to remain patient, Going by your technical expertise and competence I am sure you will be able to perform these steps without breaking a sweat. 🙂

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. 😉
