Welcome to HP Forums,

This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.

I’d like additional information in order to troubleshoot on reducing the size of jpeg or pdf files.

Are you trying to scan or copy?

Are you trying to change the DPI settings?

If you're trying to reduce the file size of scanned documents or jpeg.

Please follow this method: After selecting Scan to PDF, click on Advance Option. Here in the new window which opens at the top, you can see PDF as selected. Beside this "Options" button will be there. Click on it and a slider will appear. It will be at a maximum. so you need to move the slider to a minimum or closer to that and click OK Try scanning. This will reduce the file size.

Keep me posted!

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,
