Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Office Jet Pro 7740. I want to scan using this printer using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. Is this possible with this printer? I can't seem to find scanner driver (TWAIN OR WIA) for this printer.

Hi,

Both WIA and Twain drivers are provided for the printer as part of the HP Software.

Download and follow below version of the HP Print and Scan Doctor Utility and complete nay suggested steps, then check for any difference:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe

Please let me know the results, if the utility test fails, be sure to clarify the exact error shown by the tool.

I was able to get the primary printer in our network to scan through Acrobat. The only issue I have now is that when I scan through the document feeder, it scans it to 8.5x14 rather than the 8.5x11 that the original is. On the glass, it matches the size of the original. I do not have the ability to change the size as it only gives me automatic as an option.

Does it launches a WIA or Twain interface? Both configurations can be changed but varies

Please open the HP Scan application from the HP Officejet Pro 7740 software (Scan a Document or Photo) and select the required scan shortcut.

Change the Source to Flatbed Glass and then set teh Size to A3 and save the shortcut by clinking the save icon on the shortcut name.

Now try scanning from Adobe and check for any change, if you can see additional settings within Adobe's interface, be sure to set the source as Flatbed and the Size as A3.

It turns out that the TWAIN printer is now working. So we are in good shape. Thank you for all your help.
