G4050 with Mac

HP Recommended

HP G4050 w/Mac 10.9.  Downloaded driver and installed.  Image Capture appeared to work as it should, however

Scan result was B&W only.  No apparent way to initiate color.  Almost as if there was insufficient software.  Support indicates that scan software should be downloaded from original disk.  Cannot download because Mac does not support Power PC software.  I believe I need "missing link" but do not know what to search for.  ???

To get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since the HP Scanjet G4050 is a commercial product. You can do this at HP Enterprise Business Community.
