HP Photosmart 7510 Photos come out blue

HP Recommended

I have an all in one printer. All documents come out fine apart from photos. They used to be OK only recently they the majority of the photo, whether colour or black and white, comes out blue and fuzzy. I use genuine cartridges and have cleaned several times the cartridges and aligned the printer. The reports come out fine. I have used different kinds of photo paper too. What do I do?

Hello RG-M, and welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I understand you are having issues with your photo quality. I would love to try and help you, but I do need a little information first. I am linking a few HP Support documents below that will show you how to find which operating system you are using. Also, if you're using Windows, please include whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit. With this information we can provide you with accurate information.
Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer?
Which Windows operating system am I running?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

Also, did you try HP branded photo paper?  What program are you printing th photos from?  Have you tried multiple programs to print the photos?  Does the same issue occur?  Are you able to make a photo copy with proper quality?

Please let me know what you find.  Thanks for posting on the HP Forums.

Hi

Thank you for your response,

9/10 times I print off a Mac OS x 10.6.8. I have printed off windows 8 too. Same problem occurs. Also with iphone and ipad, same problem.

I have had the printer for about 2 years and had no problem until a couple of months ago with photos.

Photocopies are perfect. I have not changed any parameters.

I was printing on HP paper, also tried canon matt.

As I said I have replaced cartridges, calibrated and cleaned heads.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi RG-M ,

It appears as though the issue is hardware related.  I would recommend performing a power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.

I would also recommend utilizing this document on Fixing Ink Streaks, Faded Prints, and Other Common Print Quality Problems.

Please let me know the results!
