Missing CVA for HP Support Assiatnt

HP Recommended

Looking for CVA for HP Support Assistant. Ive tried accessing from SoftPaq for several models and its missing for seemingly all of them (SP# 62291, 68058, 68201 as examples) . I'm mainly looking for silent installation normally included in them for HP Support Assistant.

Thanks!

CVA files are used by applications such as SSM, SDM and Support Assistant.

They are not downloaded from a platform (model) support page.

SSM, SDM & SA will download cva files automatically if one is present.

The following links should provide the cva files you are searching for:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp62001-62500/sp62291.cva

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp68001-68500/sp68058.cva

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp68001-68500/sp68201.cva

I was referring to SDM when I said the CVA's werent available. In SDM, when trying to access the CVA for every SA SoftPaq referenced, each reported "No CVA found".

But thank you for the direct links, those are sufficient.

Thank you.

CVA files will not be downloaded by SDM because they are marked as non compliant with SSM.

This means they need to be installed manually.

If you examine the cva file, you will see the following parameters in the [Private] section  -

        [Private]
        Private_SSMCompliant=0
        DPB_Compliant=0
        Private_ReleaseType=Critical
        Private_ProductType = Notebooks

I do not know the reason the team that developed HPSA set this flag to zero.

Editing or altering the SSM compliant flag does not guarantee SSM can install the application.

Thanks,

Richard
