Os installation issue on G6-2313AX

HP Recommended

Hi All

I purchased a new G6-2313AX yesterday and when i am trying to install a os on it i.e suse linux 10 ,fedora 7 ,redhat 5 ,ubuntu 7 and kubuntu 8 i am unable to install

when i insert the disk and reboot the laptop the disk is detected .

then i get the installation option i am going to "Start or install Ubuntu "

it will show me the progress bar for loading kernel it will go till 100 %

then the screen goes blank and again comes back to the same prompt which says to choose the installation option

Please help me on this

please suggest the sol only for the non microsoft os not for any microsoft os

and the processor is AMD running on 64 bits

Thanks nd Regards

Hi,

It does not matter whether the version you are trying to install is a  32 or 64-bit operating system.

Hi

I checked in bios under security tab there is no "secure boot" option

I am providing some more details regarding this

The option which i am able to see  under Bios setup are

1.Main Tab

a.bios verson is - F.23

b..Bios vendor - insyde

2.Security Tab

a.admin password

b.power on password

3.system configuration

a.language

b.virtualization technology

c.fan always on

d.action keys mode

e.boot option

4.Exit

The utility name is - Insyde h2o setup utility

Thanks and Regards

RG.

have you ever tried this.....

after showing 100%  system will restart(i.e., blank screen)

during that time remove disk and check what happens.

i too dont know exactly but i faced similar type of problem while i am installing os.at that time removing the disc works for me.so try this.

Check in the BIOS to verify that Virtualization Technology is disabled.
