When I purchased my old computer Windows 7 with Office 2010, office was pre-loaded into the system.  I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 10 and went to install Office 2010 with the product key and it gave me an error message that it was preloaded by the manufacturer.  Is there any way to still use that product key on the new system?

Hi there @Esav4,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!  It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel.  I understant that you are trying to transfer a software license from one computer to another.  I am happy to give you a hand with this.

Please take a look through this document from Microsoft: "Copy". "Move" or "Transfer" an Office installation to another computer. - answers.microsoft.com

Beyond that, I would suggest you contact Microsoft Support - support.microsoft.com over this issue.

Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.
