I just bought the HP Sprocket and the pictures are fuzzy.  Why?  Is it an issue that can be fixed in the settings?

Hi @Jmung,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing fuzzy pictures with a brand new HP Sprocket Pro, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Clean the Printer: Sometimes, a new printer might have some dust or debris inside the printing mechanism, which can affect print quality. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to clean the printer's interior and ensure there are no obstructions.
  • Use High-Quality Paper: Ensure you are using high-quality, compatible photo paper recommended by HP for the Sprocket Pro. Using subpar paper may lead to lower print quality.
  • Check Bluetooth Connection: Make sure your mobile device is properly connected to the Sprocket Pro via Bluetooth. A weak or unstable connection can result in fuzzy prints.
  • Update Firmware and App: Check if there are any firmware updates available for the Sprocket Pro and update it accordingly. Additionally, ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Sprocket app installed on your mobile device.
  • Adjust Print Settings: Within the HP Sprocket app, you may have the option to adjust print settings like image quality or paper type. Experiment with different settings to see if it improves the print quality.
  • Check Image Resolution: If you are printing low-resolution images, they may appear fuzzy when printed. Try using high-resolution images for better results.
  • Calibrate the Printer: Some printers have a calibration process that ensures proper alignment of the printing elements. Check the user manual for your HP Sprocket Pro to see if it requires calibration and follow the instructions provided.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
