HP sprocket 200
iOS

I charged the sprocket and downloaded the app. It wouldn’t connect to Bluetooth so I reset the sprocket. Now the sprocket won’t charge. The red light stays on for a short time then turns off. What have I done?  How can I fix it?

Hi @Shellee3

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the sprocket issue.

The battery might not charge if it is too warm, above 40º C (104º F). Disconnect the printer and let it cool down before you charge it or use it again.

1.) Turn off the printer, and then disconnect the USB cable.
2.) Let the printer cool for at least 15 minutes.
3.) Turn on the printer.

If the printer still does not turn on, the battery might not have enough power to turn on. Charge the printer for at least 30 minutes, disconnect it, and then turn on the printer.

1.) Connect the USB cable to the printer, and then connect the other end to a power source with at least 2 AMPs, such as a wall adapter or USB-capable power strip.

2.) Charge the printer for at least 30 minutes or until the Charging Indicator light turns green.
3.) Disconnect the USB cable from the printer and try turning on the printer.

If this does not fix the issue, please try the reset -

1.) Remove the paper cover.

2.) Locate the Reset button.
3.) With a paperclip or pin, press and hold the Reset button for 3 seconds.

4.) Place the paper cover back and try to turn on the printer.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
